New Delhi: The in-form double trap exponent of Ankur Mittal and pistol ace Jitu Rai will spearhead India’s challenge in the prestigious ISSF World Cup Finals, which begins here Tuesday.
Hosting the annual event for the first time, the tournament is a reflection of India’s growing reputation in the Olympic sport and the top shooters from the country would certainly want to give their best which will also see some of the world’s best vying for top honours.
Apart from Ankur and Jitu, Heena Sidhu, a former 2013 ISSF WCF winner in the women’s 10M air pistol will be gunning for glory in mixed team air pistol event. Ravi Kumar and Pooja Ghatkar will also be seen in action in men’s and women’s 10M Air Rifle event respectively.
