Indoor stadium coming up

Bolangir: Seeking to enhance sporting facilities in Odisha, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Monday performed groundbreaking ceremony of an indoor stadium at Prithvi Raj High School, Bolangir. GAIL (India) Limited will build the stadium at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore.

According to sources, the stadium will have an auditorium, four badminton courts, a table-tennis practice room and a gallery, besides players’ changing rooms, lockers and other facilities. The stadium will be built using pre-engineered construction technology and it will have facilities for rain water harvesting and the external lighting to be powered by solar energy.

GAIL (India) Limited is also constructing the Jagadishpur–Haldia and Bokaro–Dhamra pipeline, which is also known as ‘Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga’.
