Bhubaneswar, March 25: The state government Wednesday assigned several senior ministers to grace the Utkal Diwas (Orissa Day) celebrations at different parts of the state.
According to a state government press release, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will grace the state-level Utkal Diwas celebrations as chief guest, whereas Assembly Speaker Niranjan Pujari, health and family welfare minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, tourism and culture minister Ashok Chandra Panda, Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Patasani and MLA BK Mohanty will be present on the occasion.
Similarly, state industries minister Devi Prasad Mishra will be the chief guest at the Orissa Day celebrations in Cuttack, finance minister Pradeep Kumar Amat at Sambalpur, planning and coordination minister Usha Devi at Berhampur, Assembly deputy speaker Sananda Marandi at Jharsuguda, SC,ST development minister Lalbihari Himrika at Rayagada, steel and mines minister Prafulla Mallik at Rourkela, revenue and disaster management minister Bijayshree Routray at Bhadrak, agriculture minister Pradeep Maharathy at Puri, law minister Arun Sahoo at Jagatsinghpur, government chief whip Ananta Das in Kolkata, state planning board advisor Rabinarayan Das in Mumbai and chief resident commissioner, New Delhi, will attend the celebrations in New Delhi.
Besides, in all other districts, Zilla Parishad chairpersons of the respective districts will attend the functions as chief guests, the release said.
