Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipality Corporation (BMC) Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena Wednesday landed in a controversy after a tweet on his twitter handle mentioned it was the 27th Independence Day instead of 72nd Independence Day.
Wishing the people, Jena wrote- “Celebrating the 27th Independence day in different places of Bhubaneswar. On this auspicious occasion, I extend my best wishes to all.

The tweet attracted lot of criticism from the social media users and people around the capital city. A user commented ‘MayorSahab R U high on drugs while others asked him to remove or correct the tweet. But, it seems Jena is unaware of the controversial tweet as it is still on the micro blogging site unedited.
