Jajpur Collector cycles to grievance cell camp

Jajpur/Birajakhetra/Rasulpur: A team of district officials led by Collector Ranjan Kumar Das endeared themselves to residents when they cycled all their way for over 20 km from the district headquarters in Jajpur Town to attend a grievance cell camp in Rasulpur block Monday.

Das accompanied by SP Charan Singh Meena, ADM Brajabandhu Bhol, sub-collector Narayan Chandra Dhal, tehsildar Lakshmikanta Mishra, deputy collector Indira Behera, assistant collector Rajalkashmi Nayak and other officials participated in the rally.

They started from the Circuit House at 7 am and stopped at Baruan, Haripur panchayat office, Mugapala panchayat office and Kuakhia Square where they met people and interacted with them about their problems. Later, they reached the Rasulpur block where officials disposed off 73 of the 165 complaints received.   

The people welcomed the Collector and officials and thanked them for taking such a bold step to get a feel of the pulse of local residents.

The collector said the move will bring the administration closer to the people and cycling will reduce pollution.    PNN
