Cuttack: Jay Durga Club (JDC) registered a comprehensive 2-0 win over Morning Club in a FAO first division league match at the Babarati Stadium here, Friday.
Both the goals came in the first session. JDC broke the deadlock in the 24th minute when an unmarked Aklesh Toppo scvored. Dasarathi Kanhar doubled the lead for JDC just before the break. The second half turned out to be a scrappy affair with chances few and far between.
In the other match on the day, YVCG and Chand Club played out a 1-1 draw. Chand Club took an early lead when Sk Imtiaz struck in the 14th minute. However in the 65th minute Manjit Kishan restored parity for YVCG.

Cuttack City triumph
Cuttack City emerged champions in both the women’s doubles and triples events as well as in the men’s doubles of the VIIth Senior Inter-District Football Tennis Championships which concluded August 14 at Nuapada here.
Cuttack City women’s teams defeated Cuttack District teams in both the finals while the men’s team edged past Dhenkanal to clinch the doubles title. In the men’s triple event, Dhenkanal outplayed Cuttack District to clinch the title.
