Bhubaneswar: The Intelligence Bureau has alerted Odisha Police of terror strikes during festive session stating that four hardcore Jaish e Muhammad (JeM) terrorists have intruded into the national capital.

The central agency suspects that the terrorists could also use Odisha as a safe hideout in search of an opportune time to carry out the terror attacks in the country.

However, the agencies are still in the dark over the whereabouts and targets of the terrorists. Meanwhile, the state police has reportedly prepared a fool-proof blue print to avoid terror related activities during the upcoming puja celebrations. Various cities in the state expected to attract lakhs of devotees during the puja too. Security has been beefed up at the City airport, the railway stations and the coastal areas of the state. Similarly, frisking of travelers has also been intensified at the airport and railway stations.

ADG for coastal security and Railway Police, Pranabindu Acharya said, “We have asked for intensification of patrolling in coastal areas. The GRP officials have been asked to check the commuters travelling in the trains.”
