Jewellery shop loot : 2 held; `1 cr seized

Soro: Police arrested two persons of Sore area in Balasore district Tuesday for their alleged involvement in looting a jewellery shop in West Bengal. 

Police also seized `1, 10, 20,000 from the duo. According to police, over `1 crore in cash was looted from Anjali Gold Pvt Limited at Hansat under Pusta police limits in West Bengal August 21. Three employees of the shop from Balasore were involved in the loot.

Shop owner Jagdih Sugan came to know about the culprits from the CCTV footage and lodged a complaint with Pusta police. As police were investigating the matter, they found the rooms of the culprits locked and came to know that they had decamped with the booty.
With the help of their Soro counterparts, Pusta police tracked the cell phones of the two accused located near Soro College Chhak.

The accused were identified as Nabakishore Rout (21) of Rukha village and Saroj Giri (22) of Baringia. Another accused Bijay is absconding, it was learnt. PNN
