Los Angeles: Actor Josh Brolin has confirmed the third installment in the Sicario franchise.
The actor essayed the role of Matt Graver in Sicario and Sicario: Day of the Soldado. The first film was directed by Denis Villeneuve and released in 2015, emerging as a hit at the box office. Another installment released in 2018 and also performed at the box office.
The actor told ScreenRant the production is expected to start “soon” on the threequel, according to the entertainment news outlet Deadline.
The films are gritty crime action-thrillers and revolve around the brutal, lawless drug war at the US-Mexico border. The films feature federal agents, CIA operatives, and covert fixers who operate in a morally ambiguous world where standard laws do not apply.
Brolin will next feature in The Dog Stars. The film is directed by Ridley Scott and will feature the actor alongside Jacob Elordi, among others. It revolves around Hig, a pilot, and Bangley, a military survivalist, living in an abandoned airport hangar after a killer flu destroys most of Earth. When Hig hears a radio voice while flying his Cessna.
It is produced by Scott, Michael, Mark L Smith, and Roberts.
