Angul: An injured elephant roaming near a pond at Balanga under Bantala Forest Range of Angul district for the last 10 days has created panic in the area.
Locals have spotted a deep wound on the elephant’s back which is suspected as the reason behind the pachyderm not leaving the surroundings.
While people in the region are leaving under fear that the elephant may cause harm to their life and property, forest department officials have kept a watch on its activities.
