Kanika wants to act

Dubai: She has lent her voice to some of the top Bollywood actresses but now singer Kanika Kapoor harbours a wish to be seen herself on the big screen. Kanika, who has given chartbusters like “Baby Doll” and “Chittiya Kalaiyan”, said she would love to romance superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan on screen. “If something (acting offer) interesting comes up, I will definitely take it up. I think I can act. I would love to act opposite Shah Rukh and Salman,” Kanika told PTI on the sidelines of Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA). Keeping her acting aspirations on hold, the 37-year-old is gearing up for many “sufi, sad tracks”, which she feels will change listeners’ view of her. PTI
