Kerala Police make people aware of COVID-19 through dance; video goes viral

Mumbai: India saw a record single-day rise of 3,79,257 new coronavirus infections pushing the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 1,83,76,524, while active cases crossed the 30-lakh mark, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated Thursday.

The death toll increased to 2,04,832 with a record 3,645 daily new fatalities, the data updated at 8 am showed.

Registering a steady increase, the active cases have increased to 30,84,814 comprising 16.79 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has further dropped to 82.10 per cent.

In order to control it, the Kerala police administration has taken to dancing to make people aware of the perils of COVID-19.

The lyrics of the song are about raising awareness such as wearing a mask properly, maintaining social distance and using hand sanitiser. The awareness video also emphasises that everyone should be vaccinated as part of the COVID-19 prevention drive.

Kerala Police shared the video on their official Facebook page.

While dancing in the video, policemen are telling various aspects of social distancing, hand sanitizing, proper distance, etc., with the help of which coronavirus can be avoided. The video is very informative and entertaining.

The video has been shared on the social media with the title: “Let’s fight the pandemic together, Kerala Police is always with you.”

The video has already received more than 3 lakh views, 9,000 shares and 15,000 likes.
