Bhubaneswar: The concluding part of ‘Khandagiri – Udaygiri Mahotsav’, organised by state tourism department and culture department attracted large crowds at the venue here Sunday. The blend of classical and folk dances along with popular Hindi and Oriya numbers performed by popular vocalists was the unique selling point of the festival. The last day of the fest started with ceremonial lamp lighting by Women & Child Development Minister Prafulla Samal, former minister Debi Prasad Mishra, Tourism Minister Ashok Chandra Panda and Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena. Prince Dance group took over the stage on the concluding day with its sterling performance like Dasavatar, Krishna Act and Flag Act. Twelve artistes stunned the audiences with their presentations. Also, Gotipua dance by Nakshatra dance group was another treat to the visitors. Popular singer and music director Abhijit Mazumdar and Group enthralled the audiences
with Oriya and Hindi songs. The entire programme captivated the tourists till the end of the programme. A food court close to the open air auditorium was also a centre of attraction for the food lovers, who savoured local delicacies.
Orissa Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS) has put up 10 stalls wherein Self-Help Groups are participating with their products. Boyanika had also displayed some beautiful handloomv products for the occasion.
