Banarpal: The Maa Laxmi’s ladoo was auctioned for Rs 55,166 at Kulad village under Banarpal block in Angul district Saturday.
Maa Laxmi’s ladoo is believed to have the blessings of the goddess.
It is believed that this traditional sweet brings prosperity to the winner of the auction.
Every year, the ladoo is auctioned and there would be good participation from local residents and nearby villagers in the auction.
This year too many people have participated in the auction and Jagannath Seth emerged the highest bidder.
Talcher MLA Brajakishore Pradhan, Angul MLA Rajanikant Singh, Zilla Parishad member Manjulata Sahoo, district Congress president Biplab Jena and many others attended the event.
