Labourers electrocuted in Bolangir 

Bolangir: Two labourers were killed after coming in contact with 11 KV live electric wire while trying to charge their mobile phones. The incident took place at Barkani village under Deogaon police limits of Bolangir district Friday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Ganga Hussain of Khakitola village of West Bengal and Hussain of Jhadoli village under Pindwara tehsil in Sirohi district of Rajasthan. They are the migrant workers, who came along with other laborers, said a source.

Hussain and Ganga were engaged in making cement pots in Barkani.

According to locals, the incident took place while both the labourers were charging their mobile phones. They came in contact with the 11kv electric line accidentally leading to the incident. Both fell unconscious on the spot and died.

On being informed, the local police reached the spot and started an investigation into the circumstances that led to the incident. Their bodies have been sent to Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital in Bolangir for postmortem.
