Lack of proper road makes life miserable for Teliarsala villagers in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: Precarious road conditions in Tamudia slum of Teliarsala village under Sadar block have made lives miserable for the villagers. Approximately 40 families are having a harrowing time to travel because of this misery.

Locals alleged that in spite of repeated complaints neither the block nor the district administration has made any effort to build a proper road.

Villagers alleged that vehicles cannot reach the village while those going out for work or students going to school have to walk a considerable distance on a narrow strip of land. Even kids going to the Anganwadi school in the nearby vicinity are not spared of the misery.

Villagers said the narrow road is fraught with danger as snakes and other reptiles lurk around… more so in the rainy season.

Social worker Dinesh Kumar Tudu said that the students are the most hard-pressed. “Many a time with even the narrow strip of land going under the water the students studying in Khendara Adarsh Vidyalaya have to miss classes,” said Tudu. He urged the administration to look into the matter urgently.
