Bhubaneswar: A special POCSO court Tuesday sentenced a person to life imprisonment for raping his 12-year-old-daughter at Salia Sahi area under Nayapalli police limits here.
The convict who originally hails from Kandhamal used to torture his wife after taking alcohol. Subsequently, the lady came to the city with the victim and her son a few years before the incident. She started living in a rented house and worked as a daily wager.
The convict went to his wife’s place and sought mercy. However, when the lady was away, he sexually abused his minor daughter studying in Class VI.
