Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre for the second time issued lightning alert for 8 districts till 1.30 pm Monday.
The Regional Met Office has warned of thunderstorm and lightning accompanied with moderate rainfall at one or two places over Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Bhadrak and Balasore districts till 1:30 pm Monday.
In its latest bulletin the Met Centre of Bhubaneswar warned, “Latest Doppler weather radar and satellite imageries indicate that thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and light to moderate rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Bhadrak, and Balasore between 10.30 am and 1.30 pm.
The bulletin further warned people in these districts to take shelter in nearby building or other safe locations.
