Nayagarh: At least three persons including a woman were killed Tuesday in separate incidents of lightning strikes during a thunderstorm under Godipada police outpost limit in this district. One person also suffered serious injuries and is currently fighting for his life at the Godipada health centre. The deceased were identified as Dhaneshwar Parida, 65, of Bhaliadihi Upar Sahi village, Padmabati Pradhan, 60, of Jakeda village under Haridabandha panchayat and Jeetendra Dora, 21, of Badaput Mahulia village under Arada panchayat. On being informed, Sarankul police personnel reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem to the district headquarters hospital.
