Liquor units vandalised by women group

Cuttack: Women residents of Baigana slum near Kathajodi Vihar under Markatnagar police limits Friday vandalised two sites in their locality where country liquor was being manufactured. They were attacked by the liquor mafia, which left three people assisting the women in their anti-liquor campaign injured. The agitating women later held a dharna in front of Markatnagar police station seeking action against the liquor mafia. Sources said the liquor manufacturing units had been operating in the slum for many days. PNN
