Mahesh Bhatt in fresh trouble; film ‘Sadak 2’ sparks anger, netizens demand boycott

Mumbai: After 21 years, Mahesh Bhatt is once again returning to the big screen with the film Sadak 2.

Sanjay Dutt will also be seen in this film along with Alia and Pooja Bhatt. The film’s poster was released recently which has left many people angry with netizens trending #BoycottBollywoodFilms on social media.

After the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, many fans have expressed their frustration over the culture of nepotism that prevails in the Hindi film industry.

When the poster of Sadak 2 was released Thursday, people were very angry about it. Many fans have made it clear that they will oppose any film that features a ‘star kid’.

One user tweeted, “we will make sure #Sadak2 to be most disliked movie of Bollywood.”

At the same time, another user wrote, “Our fight will continue like this even after Sushant’s departure, reality can never be forgotten.”

At the same time, a user appealed to the people and wrote: “#Sadak Guys lets make this trailer most disliked trailer ever.”

Sadak 2 is produced and directed by Mahesh Bhatt himself. The film was earlier to be released in theatres but its co-production company Fox Star Studios decided to release it on OTT.

The film is about a man’s depression and how he helps a young woman’s encounter with a godman and is out to expose this fake guru running an ashram.

The shooting began 18 May 2019 and the film was shot in Ooty, Mumbai, Mysore and Uttarakhand.
