New Delhi: The makers of Drishyam The Conclusion have unveiled the first poster of Jaideep Ahlawat’s character, SP Rajveer Singh Tomar, from the film.
The film is set to release October 2 and is directed by Abhishek Pathak, who also directed the previous installment and is backed by Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios.
The actor shared the poster on his Instagram handle Saturday, which featured him in black glasses. “Ab yeh case SP Crime Branch Rajveer Singh Tomar ke table par hai. aur isse kholunga bhi main, aur bandh bhi mai hi karunga…Vijay Salgaonkar ke arrest ke baad… #DrishyamTheConclusion in cinemas 2nd October,” read the caption.
Ahlawat boarded the franchise following the exit of Akshaye Khanna. Besides Ahlawat, the posters of actors Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Shriya Saran, who are returning to reprise their roles in the film, have also been released by the makers of the film.
The film is a Hindi adaptation of Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam drama of the same title, featuring Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, a common man who goes to extreme lengths to protect his family after an accidental death.
Drishyam, released in 2015, was adapted from the original 2013 Malayalam-language crime thriller, which was directed by Jeethu Joseph.
The thriller has been officially remade in seven languages, including Tamil and Telugu, among others.
