Mamita Meher murder: Bolangir police seize vehicles used by key accused Gobinda Sahu

Bolangir: A team of Bolangir police investigating the murder of school teacher Mamita Meher, seized Monday a JCB machine and a white-coloured scooter used in the crime by main accused Gobinda Sahu, a source informed.

According to an official, the two vehicles were seized from the under-construction stadium in Mahaling of Kalahandi district and brought to Sindhekela police station. Police had earlier seized the car in which Mamita was killed by strangulation.

Sahu admitted during interrogation that he had used the JCB machine to dig a 10-feet deep pit a day before he committed the heinous crime. Subsequently, he buried the body of Mamita in the stadium. He had used the two-wheeler to bring tyres that were used in burning the deceased.
