Patna: A man hacked his aunt to death over some family disputes Saturday night in Keonjhar district. The incident was reported from Bandha Sahi of Dumuria panchayat under Patna block in this district.
The police identified the deceased as 52-year-old Rudei Das, wife of Trinath Das and the accused as Sadhu Das.
According to sources, the family members entered into a dispute over some issues Saturday night. Losing his cool, Sadhu Das attacked Rudei with an axe that led to her death on the spot.
Ghatagaon police reached the spot on being informed and seized the body.
“Based on the first-hand information and complaint, we have detained the accused Sadhu. A case (no-46/19) has also been registed and the body has been sent to Patna community health center (CHC) for post-mortem. Further investigation is going on,” informed Ghatagaon IIC Bandana Patra.
