Berhampur: A man and his son were electrocuted at Badapada village under Belaguntha block in Ganjam district Monday.
The deceased were identified as Abhimanyu Patra and his son Jitendra.
Family sources said the tragedy happened when Jitendra was laying a wet blanket on an iron wire.
He was unaware of the fact that the iron wire was charged. Before he could sense the danger, he received electric shock.
Abhimanyu rushed to the spot in an attempt to save his son but both of them were electrocuted.
The neighbours and family members rushed them to Bhanjanagar government hospital where the doctors declared them brought dead.
