Bhubaneswar, Jan 24: A Railway employee was injured and the movement of train on Muniguda-Ambadola route under the Sambalpur railway division of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) disrupted for several hours after the Maoists blew up the railway track between Muniguda and Munikhol in Rayagada district in the wee hours of Saturday.

ECoR sources here said the track was restored and  train services resumed at 0930 hrs. The injured employee was admitted to the Muniguda hospital and was out of danger now.

The Railway employee sustained injuries during  the second blast. He had gone to the spot after the first blast and was returning from the blast site when the second blast occurred. After the blast, the train services were disrupted on the route and the Bhubaneswar-bound trains coming from Raipur and Vishakhapatnam were controlled at Rayagada station.

The Rayagada superintendent of police along with a bomb disposal squad and  sniffer dogs rushed to the spot. The police found a banner and some posters of the CPI Maoist in which Left Wing ultras have protested the visit of US President Barrack Obama to India.
