Bhubaneswar, March 16: Mukteswar Cricket Club (MCC) stormed into the final of the NM Bhuyan Memorial cricket tournament after clinching a convincing four-wicket win over Paramount Sporting in the first semifinal at the BJB College Ground here Wednesday.
Electing to bat, Paramount riding on good knocks from Debraj Kar (61) and Debasish Samantray (50) scored 188. In reply, MCC struggled initially. But man of the match Soubhagya Mohanty (44 n o) and Siddhanth Ray (35 n o) batted responsibly. They added 64 unbeaten runs for the seventh wicket to take their team to victory with nine balls to spare.
