MCI team visits Bolangir Medical College

Bolangir:  A three-member team of Medical Council of India (MCI) Monday visited the Santha Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital here.

The team comprising coordinator Prof Mohammad Rijaul Karim of the College of Medicine and Sagore Dutta Hospital in Kolkata, Prof Dhiraj Saxsena of SMS Medical College in Jaipur (Rajasthan) and Prof Saroj Kothari of Gajara Raja Medical College in Gwalior (MP) first visited the medical college campus at Gandharel and reviewed various facilities there. The team which examined various wards of the hospital and reviewed the infrastructure of the college is expected to submit a report to the MCI.

On the basis of the report of the visiting team, the MCI would allow concurrence for 100 seats for the second year’s admission to the next academic year (2019-20).

On being contacted, medical college dean Lalit Kumar Meher said, the MCI team visited the college and reviewed the teaching facilities, infrastructure, wards and other facilities and found overall systems of the medical college satisfactory.
