Bhubaneswar, March 25: Kiran Manisha Mohanty of LIC suffered a humiliating defeat against statemate Meayank Mohapatra in the first round of the IIIrd Bhubaneswar All India Open Fide Rating Chess Championship, which was inaugurated here Wednesday. In another match Pranab Kumar Patra managed to salvage a draw against lower-rated Aditya Bartakee of Maharashtra.
In another close contest, Anantyoya Chatterji of Orissa played a drab draw with higher rated opponent and statemate Binayak Rath.
