Adyasha Satpathy, CEO of OrissaPOST and Dharitri, said it was encouraging to see packed venue, reflecting the growing popularity of quizzing among students, parents and enthusiasts across Odisha. She noted that Mettle Meet has completed a decade and is now entering its second decade.

Recalling the event’s origins, she said Mettle Meet was launched in 2016 when quizzing culture appeared to be losing momentum. The initiative was started to encourage intellectual curiosity and provide a platform for young minds to challenge themselves through quizzing. Expressing delight at the event’s growth over the years, she said the organisers are looking to expand participation from outside Odisha and increase the number of slots in future editions.

Addressing the gathering, Tathagata Satpathy, Editor of OrissaPOST and Dharitri, said the continued encouragement and support of readers have been the driving force behind the growth of OrissaPOST. He noted that the newspaper has carved out a distinct identity for itself and credited CEO Adyasha Satpathy and the entire team for its success. Speaking about the participants, he described quizzers as some of the brightest minds in society, saying they contribute not only through their knowledge but also through their ideas, curiosity and commitment to progress. He said the competition reflects the intellectual potential of young people and their role in shaping a better future.

Congratulating the finalists, Satpathy praised their achievement in reaching the final stage of the competition and wished them success in the battle ahead.

Day 1 of the much-awaited Mettle Meet 2026 concluded with an intense battle of minds as the Junior and Senior category prelims wrapped up at Swosti Premium, Bhubaneswar. After a day of fierce competition, the stage is now set for grand finals of both categories, scheduled to be held Sunday.

Registrations underway for junior category as bright young minds gear up for first battle of Orissa POST Mettle Meet

Stage is set. The brightest young minds are ready. OrissaPOST Mettle Meet is all set to kick off in Bhubaneswar, where knowledge meets competition and every answer counts.

The Grand Finale of Orissa POST Mettle Meet 2026, one of eastern India’s premier quizzing events, is being held Sunday at Hotel Swosti Premium in Bhubaneswar. 16 teams, eight each in the junior and senior categories from Odisha and beyond, have qualified for finals.
