Khurda: The body of a minor boy was found hanging inside a house at Parichhal village under Begunia police limits in Khurda district Friday.
The deceased was identified as Saroj Kumar Sahoo (16), a Plus II student of Deuli College under Solagada block in the district.
According to reports, Saroj who was living with his family in Bhubaneswar had gone to his village on the occasion of Ganesh puja Thursday. Some villagers first spotted his body hanging to a ceiling fan in his house Friday morning following which they informed the police.
Police have sent body for post-mortem.
Preliminary investigation indicated that Saroj committed suicide by hanging himself for being depressed over a failed love affair.
