Bamra: A minor boy and his minor cousin sister drowned in a canal at Kahapani village near Govindpur of Bamra block in Sambalpur district Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Ayush (7), son of Rajesh Lakra, and his cousin sister Laxmipriya Purti (9).
According to reports, the duo drowned after they slipped into the deep waters of the canal while taking bath.
When they didn’t return home, their family members launched a search and found the duo’s bodies floating in the canal.
The police reached the spot and seized the bodies.
