Balangir: A minor boy died after allegedly being stabbed by another minor in Rote village under Agalpur police limits in Odisha’s Balangir district Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Sahil Patel. He was rescued in critical condition and taken to a hospital, where he later died.
According to locals, the two minors argued while playing cards and allegedly consumed an intoxicating substance afterwards. The accused minor reportedly brought a knife from his house and attacked Sahil. However, the exact circumstances and motive behind the incident have not been established.
After being informed, Agalpur police reached the spot and launched an investigation.
