Brahmagiri: A minor girl in a quarantine centre at the Goruala village under Brahmagiri block in Puri district has alleged that she has been harassed and misbehaved with by a youth. The incident took place late Monday night.
The girl, who had returned with 14 other migrant workers from Ahmedabad, had been put in quarantine at the Pulakeswari Nodal High School. The school has been converted into a quarantine facility.
This incident came to light Tuesday after the girl informed her brother over phone about the alleged harassment and misbehaviour. She also lodged a complaint with the centre supervisor.
The police have been informed about the incident. Later in the day personnel of the Puri Sadar police station and Brahmagiri BDO Jyoti Prakash Sethi reached the quarantine centre and started investigations.
