Tihidi: A minor girl was allegedly raped by a youth of the same locality at Deula village under Kubera panchayat in Bhadrak district.
Acting on a complaint by the victim’s family, police registered a case and arrested the accused. He has been identified as Sushil Nayak. He was sent to hospital for medical examination and later produced in court, sources said.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred while the girl was returning home after buying groceries from a shop near the village. Sushil found the girl alone and took her to an isolated place where he outraged her modesty.
Further probe into the incident is on, police said.
