Sajanagada: In yet another ATM loot incident, miscreants looted lakhs of rupees from a cash vending machine at Chandi Market Complex of Santaragadia under Nilgiri police limits in Balasore district late last night.
The exact amount of money stolen from the kiosk is yet to be ascertained.
According to sources, unidentified miscreants entered the Axis Bank ATM counter, broke open the machine with a gas-cutter and looted all cash from it late Thursday night. Finding the machine broken today morning, locals called up police, who reached the spot and started an investigation.
Nilgiri police along with the concerned bank authorities reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, locals have expressed resentment over the frequent ATM loots in the district. Sources said this is the third ATM loot in the district.
Similarly, two other ATMs in Sheragada and Sajanagada areas of the district were looted in the last one month.
