“People, born in villages, raised amid greenery and bullock carts, playing outdoor games with kids are used to a simple lifestyle. Afterwards often they move out to the city for a better career where they adapt to a modern lifestyle. However, when they revisit the village, their ‘janambhumi’, they love to enjoy the village atmosphere. This concept has been showcased in the Hindi album ‘Janambhumi’. The video dwells upon a fusion of urban styling in a rural backdrop,” says Bhubaneswar girl Rupali Mullick.
Released on YouTube under the banner of Roopsona Creations, the video stars Rupali, Sonali, Pummy, Ayushi and Sushobhita. Soumya Ranjan Sahoo is the director of photography, while Sukumar Mani is the editor. Rupali has lent voice to the number and also penned the lyrics, done the choreography, costume designing, video direction and music composition of the solo along with her sister Sonali.
Rupali is basically a model. She has acted in two Oriya albums and lent voice in a few TV serials. “This is the first time I have worked for my own music company and I will continue making albums along with my sister,” she signed off.
