Rayagada, April 22: In another revelation in Itishree Pradhan immolation case, the CBI Wednesday claimed that some persons had transferred money to her bank account just a few days before her death.
CBI sources said that the agency had identified those persons who had deposited money in her account and collected all details regarding them including their addresses. These persons are likely to be called by the agency for interrogation in connection with the case as it is trying to know the motive behind transferring money to her account.
Meanwhile, CBI inspector R D Sharma met two lawyers of Netrananda Dandasena and collected some information from them in connection with the case. Both the lawyers Bishnu Prasad Panda and Tutu Das handed over some video CDs containing footage of Itishree recording her statement before doctors and other officials, to Sharma. As the doctors were frequently asking Itishree to record her statement instead of providing treatment to her, the lawyers suspected that they might have been under pressure from certain quarters for doing so. Sharma said the agency has taken this matter seriously and is trying to know the reasons for which the doctors did so.
On the other hand, a DSP level official of the agency M K Pathak reached Rayagada Wednesday morning. He went to the district and sessions judge court and held talks with public prosecutor Ajit Kumar Pattanaik on some issues related to the case. He later met the district and sessions judge Md Ajmal and urged him to give certified copies of some documents related to the case.
