MSME trade fair to begin January 8

Bhubaneswar, Dec 2: The micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) department will organise the third Orissa MSME Trade Fair-2015 at exhibition ground here beginning January 8.
According to an MSME official, the seven-day trade fair would showcase 300 stalls which would be put up by MSMEs, large industries, renowned equipment manufacturing companies and financial institutions from across the country. Seminars on food processing, quality, intellectual right, design clinic, lean manufacturing and export would be organised between January 9 and 13, the official said. In a bid to attract international buyers, the state government has requested the chief residential commissioner, New Delhi, to organise road shows in the national capital, the official added.
As the main objective of the fair is to provide a platform for entrepreneurship development, at least 50 stalls would be reserved for the entrepreneurs, the official mentioned.
Emerging entrepreneurs of the state will get an opportunity to have a first-hand knowledge of operating the state-of-the-art equipment used in industries and the necessary know-how for setting up industries.
