Murder on the Orient Express to premiere at IFFI

Kenneth Branagh stars in Twentieth Century Fox’s “Murder on the Orient Express.”

The brand new film adaptation of Agatha Christie’s bestselling novel – Murder on the Orient Express releases in Indian cinemas on the 24th November , however , the murder mystery film will first premiere at the 48th International Film Festival of India.

What starts out as a lavish train ride through Europe quickly unfolds into one of the most stylish, suspenseful and thrilling mysteries ever told. Murder on the Orient Express tells the tale of thirteen strangers stranded on a train, as detective Hercule Poirot races against time to solve the puzzle before the murderer strikes again.

The film will premiere at the festival on the 21st November and is among the few to be screened at the “Cinema of the World” section at IFFI 2017.

The 48th International Film Festival of India (IFFI 2017), organized by the Government of India, is set to be held in the beach state of Goa fromNovember 20 -28,2017.

An annual event in the global festival calendar, the theme of this year’s edition of IFFI will be ‘Celebrating the Future of Cinema’ – bringing youngsters the best minds of the cinematic world.

Murder on the Orient Express is a 2017 American mystery drama film directed by Kenneth Branagh with a screenplay by Michael Green, based on the 1934 novel of the same name by Agatha Christie. The film stars Branagh as Hercule Poirot, with Tom Bateman, Penélope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Josh Gad, Derek Jacobi, Leslie Odom Jr., Michelle Pfeiffer and Daisy Ridley in supporting roles. The film is the fourth adaptation of Christie’s novel, following a 1974 film, a 2001 TV film and a 2010 episode of Agatha Christie’s Poirot.
