MY SUNDAY

SHABIHA NUR KHATOON, OP

Dynamic and innovative producer Nivedita Basu does yoga daily and makes it sure not to miss her sessions on Sundays

FAMILY TIME

Sundays are the only days when my in-laws are at home. The one thing that we love to do is have a meal together. And since a month I have started to inspire in them the need to do yoga. I have a yoga instructor who trains both my father-in-law and mother-in-law and the best part is they have made it a routine to accompany me to yoga classes.

WITH CRONIES

When I am with my friends, we like to chill out at my place or go to watch a film or dine out — that’s all. My plan of actually chilling out is to get out of Mumbai for a holiday because in Mumbai a holiday doesn’t seem like a holiday; it is so hectic.

HOBBIES

My hobbies include playing my favourite sports, although right now there is a break as I am pregnant. I like to do ‘maunvrat’/vow of silence at home. There are times when I don’t want to chat with people. Sometimes I don’t take calls and I have invented voice notes so that I can restrict conversations.

EARLY RISER

Being in the entertainment industry, Sundays or week days are pretty much the same to me. I am an early riser. Even if I sleep at 4 am, I am up by 5 am. I do my chants and yoga.
