Model-cum social activist Swapna Pati, who will soon be seen in Hindi movie Antardhwani – Inner Voice under the direction of Padma Shree awardee film maker A K Bir, loves to try her hand at cooking Sundays. “I rustle up special dishes like prawn biriyani and chicken kuruma on holidays and serve them to my close pals and family members”, she says.
Bookworm
If you are thinking the actress only reads scripts, here is a surprise. From fiction to philosophy and thrillers to romances, she loves reading books and considers it her favourite pastime. “Sunday is the only day when I devote some time in reading books. I love reading biographies of eminent personalities. Recently, the one I finished is Jayalalithaa’s biography “Amma: Jayalalithaa’s Journey From Movie Star To Political Queen” by Vaasanthi. Currently, I am reading Osho’s book “Body Mind Balancing”, she maintains.
No gym
Swapna, who is a fitness freak, does not follow conventional rules to stay in shape. The actress does go to the gym in the morning but Sunday is the exception when she does not hit gym. “For me Sunday is meant for relaxation. Thus, I make sure to spend quality time with my family and give it a miss to dance and gym classes”, she quips.
Mama’s girl
The actress, who is presently settled at Mumbai for the shooting of her upcoming Hindi movie, helps her mother in household chores on her off days. “I make it a point to help my mother do the laundry and other things,” she signs off.
