My Sunday of Mitaali Nag

Rashmi Rekha Das, OP

Sunday is ‘take it easy time’ for Mitaali Nag who scaled remarkable heights for her role as Krishna in daily soap opera Afsar Bitiya, aired on Zee TV. “As an actor, I don’t get holidays every Sunday, but I try to take off Sundays to relax and spend time with my family, especially with Sankalpp (husband), an interior designer. He doesn’t go to office Sunday,” she says.

Home party
Mitaali is not party animal, for sure. Thus, she prefers to host parties at her place Sundays. “I don’t like lavish parties on my off days. I host parties at my home and invite close pals to chill,” says the actress.

Brunch Day
The actress, who was featured on daily soap operas like Mano Ya Na Mano, Wanted, Tujhse Naraz Nahi Zindagi and Draupadi wakes up late on holidays and skips breakfast. “Brunches are frequent on Sundays. Oh, breakfast is out of question. There is nothing more comforting than waking up late to a lovely, laidback brunch. A long, leisurely brunch makes you satisfied with yourself and your fellow beings. Besides, it sweeps away worries and cobwebs of the week. Occasionally, I prepare pasta, my husband’s favourite dish Dum Biriyani with Paneer Tika,” she maintains.

With son
Mitaali loves to spend quality time with her cute little son Rudranssh, more than anything else. “I don’t get time for my son. Sundays, I ensure to spend time with him, playing. We take him out to a mall in the evening and have loads of fun,” she says.

Siesta

She doesn’t forget to take afternoon naps Sundays. “I hardly get time to take a nap in the afternoons due to regular shooting. On holidays, I try to get a nice siesta because power naps are really good for health”, she says.
