Rashmi Rekha Das, OP
Although actor Suman Maharana is 3 feet 4 inches, his age is not at par with his height and that makes him one of the most sought after comedians of the Oriya film industry. His appearance on the screen is enough to bring a smile on the faces of the audience. Better known as ‘Gedu Suman,’ the 36-year-old comedian has acted in more than 39 films so far. He shot to fame for his roles in movies like Kandhei Akhira Luha, Pua Mora Jagatajita and Lakhmi Pratima
Pet lover
The actor hardly gets time from his busy schedule to spend time with his special friends — his mouse, kitten, parrot and mongoose. “Pets love you unconditionally and actually they give you more than what you end up giving them. I feel it’s really important for us to take care of them. Caring for animals somehow will make us more human,” says the actor.
Shopping spree
“I take my sister and nephew out for shopping on holidays. Making others happy makes me happy,” says the actor whose movies Badmas Toka, Akhi Bujidele Tu, Mu Gote Dusta Pila and Anti Namaskar are all set to release.
Dancer
“In evening, I make sure to play popular dance numbers and dance with my family members till I get tired. I really enjoy doing it,” says the actor.
Early Riser
Suman makes it a point to wake up early on Sundays to enjoy the day to the fullest. “Usually, I never leave my bed before 11 am but on holidays I get up early to spend quality time with my family and friends,” he says.
Foodie
“Sundays are incomplete if I don’t gorge on mutton curry cooked by my sister,” says Suman, who plays Chandrasena in the daily soap ‘Pari’.
