Khandapara: An NAAC peer team undertook a two-day visit of the Neelamadhab Mahavidyalaya at Kantilo in Nayagarh district as part of its first cycle of NAAC accreditation September 7 and the 8, a report said Wednesday.
The team led by chairperson Dr Sheo Kumar Pandey, (former vice-chancellor of Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University in Raipur) and comprising Dr PV Konnur, member & coordinator (adviser of VTU Consortium, Visvesvaraya Technological University in Belagavi) and Dr Sasi Kanta Dash, member (registrar of Puducherry University in Puducherry) visited the college and expressed their satisfaction over the available facilities after conducting a thorough inspection of the various departments, committees and cells.
Principal Sukanta Kumar Nayak and the IQAC Coordinator Pabitra Kumar Subudhi accompanied the team members during their visit.
The members also highly praised the bell-metal workshop organised by Dandanpani Sahoo and Pabitra Kumar Maharana in the college for its fine craftsmanship training and also for the livelihood opportunities it offers as an alternative source of employment.
The students of the college presented a cultural show on the first day while the peer team members attended an exit meeting on the second day where they expressed their overall view describing it as a city level college located in a panchayat.
