Damanjodi: A National Aluminium Company (Nalco) employee working at Damanjodi, N Ravi Kumar, won Rs 25 lakh at the Amitabh Bachchan hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) show telecast on Sony TV Thursday.
Ravi’s obsession to meet Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his great interest in the KBC hot seat landed him in the show.
Ravi had been preparing for the show since 2000. His preparation also helped him in getting a job at Nalco. He had scored 100 in General Knowledge conducted by Nalco in 2001.
Ravi had registered his name for the show in June 2018. The KBC team called him and asked him three questions which he answered correctly. Later, he was called for an audition at Raipur in July.
He qualified in the Raipur audition and was called to Mumbai and selected for KBC.
During the show Ravi answered all questions and won Rs 25 lakh. However, he quit at Rs 50 lakh as he had no lifeline left. Ravi, who works as a charge man at the power plant in Nalco, said the knowledge a person has never gets wasted.
The messages which superstar Amitabh Bachchan has been disseminating through the show have reached crores of viewers.
Ravi said he felt proud of sharing the hot seat with the Bollywood superstar. Ravi Kumar was accompanied by his wife N Renuka and his Nalco colleague Trailokyanath Sahoo at the show.
