Bhubaneswar: Renovated memorial of Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu Das’s birthplace located at Suando village in Puri district will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik February 23, a source said Saturday.
5T Secretary VK Pandian attended an inaugural function of a renovated Lokeswar temple in Suando Friday.
As per the source, Lokeswar temple was in poor shape due to negligence of authorities. After much local demand, the temple was restored by the state government.
Following the temple inauguration, 5T Secretary also reviewed various renovation works of Gopabandhu’s native place. He also assessed the makeover of a pond and museum in Suando.
Pandian expressed his satisfaction with the restoration drives in the village.
