Balasore: A new-born baby girl wrapped in a cloth has been rescued from a drain near old cinema hall area in Soro Monday night. The baby was admitted to Soro Community Health Centre (CHC) and later shifted to Balasore District headquarters Hospital (DHH).
According to reports, one Sheikh Liyakat heard the baby crying when he was passing by and stopped to look inside the drain. He immediately rushed the new born to the CHC.
Sheikh Liyakat said, “I was passing by the canal when I heard the baby crying, I stopped to see the baby crying inside the drain. As soon as I saw the abandoned baby, I rushed her to the CHC here”.
The condition of the baby is stated to be stable now. The local police investigating into the matter.
