Bhubaneswar: A key secretary-level review meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja at Lok Seva Bhawan Tuesday decided to mandate the inclusion of all new projects on the ‘Gati Shakti’ platform.
The move aims to streamline planning and implementation by addressing land acquisition, approach road planning, and inter-departmental coordination at an early stage.
The high-level meeting discussed urgent development projects and key priority works outlined by the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. Progress related to infrastructure initiatives announced recently was reviewed in detail.
Officials presented that a central database for project monitoring has been created to track implementation status across departments.

The Chief Secretary emphasised the need for regular updates to the database and closer monitoring of progress to ensure the timely completion of infrastructure development.
Divisional Secretaries were advised to conduct regular reviews and closely supervise newly launched infrastructure projects within their respective departments to avoid delays and accelerate delivery.
The Chief Secretary also took up other major administrative issues and issued necessary directions to improve coordination and efficiency in infrastructure execution.
The Gati Shakti platform, launched in 2021, is designed to achieve integrated and coordinated planning for infrastructure projects, reduce logistics costs, and accelerate implementation through a comprehensive digital multimodal connectivity master plan.
By bringing together multiple government departments and ministries on a single interface, Gati Shakti enables real-time data sharing, eliminates duplication of efforts, and strengthens inter-departmental coordination.
The initiative is expected to significantly improve project execution efficiency and contribute to boosting overall economic growth.
