Madhapur: A newborn baby boy was rescued from Bareni forest near Madhapur-Kiakata state highway at Athamalik block in Angul district Thursday.
According to reports, Pati Biswal spotted the baby in the forest when he had gone to attend nature’s call in the morning.
Biswal, along with two other villagers, called up a 102 ambulance and rushed the newborn to a nearby hospital.
The health condition of the newborn is stated to be stable.
